MJ logged 20 years with a national document management company as a business consultant and manager of their technical services group. The ‘road warrior’ traveled to Fortune 1000 companies throughout the U.S. with the mission of helping them do things 'better, faster, cheaper.'
MJ and his wife, Gina, relocated from Dublin Ohio to the Lowcountry of South Carolina in 2002. There he was engaged by a national homebuilder as a land development manager and worked as project leader on many of the area’s major residential subdivisions. Next it was on to code enforcement with the Department of Environmental Protection for his home town.
In 2009, Raymond won an election bid for a seat on town council and was also appointed a county fire commissioner. He also serves on the board of the Community Foundation and is a member of Rotary International. As such, he has been seen hawking tickets and drinks, hauling oysters and generally promoting local fundraising events. Teaching public education courses, both as an NRA certified firearms instructor and staff officer for Team Coast Guard, is another passion. Known in entertainment circles as ‘Snowbird Mike,’ his guitar and vocals gigs have been weekly events around town for many years.
It all fits with MJ's philosophy of engagement, community service and just plain livin.'
